My TestimonyI was born into a pastor's home and came to know the Lord as my Savior at a very young age. Like many others who were saved as children, I struggled with assurance. I remember praying night after night, "Lord, if I'm not saved, save me." It was in late elementary school that I came to understand that it wasn't how many times I prayed or how "sincere" I was when I prayed that saved me, because it was not about what I did. My salvation was completely dependent on God and His grace extended to me.
I attended high school at Dublin Christian Academy in Dublin, New Hampshire, and then came to Bob Jones University. After receiving my undergraduate degree in Music Education, I taught for two years at a Christian school in Maryland before returning to Bob Jones to work on a graduate degree. In those next two years I earned my master's degree and also found my husband. I have been at Bob Jones Academy teaching 7th and 8th grade classes ever since, and I Iove middle school students! They are my very favorite age to teach! My husband and I have 3 sons. Jeremy and his family live in Greenville. Jamin and Melissa live in San Francisco. Joshua lives here in Greenville when he isn't being sent to Afghanistan for the company he works for. We have 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson ranging in age from 7 to 13. I'm looking forward to this school year and am especially excited to be able to teach Bible. |
