My TestimonyI grew up mostly in Florida, and for most of school, I went to public schools. In 10th grade my parents, much to my disappointment, sent me to a Christian school in Milton, Florida. For the first year, I hated it! At the time, I thought I was a Christian because I had been baptized, but I was definitely not living like Christ. The following year, I began to grow up a little and made friends and began to like my school.

However it was not until I was a senior in high school, two weeks from graduating, that I got saved and really understood what it meant to live for Christ. I came to BJU for college and met my husband here. A year after I graduated, I began to teach school and knew this was what God wanted for me to do with my life.
I taught at a small Christian school in Waycross, GA, for a year. Then we moved to Texas. I taught at a school outside of Dallas for 16 years. During this time I found my calling was 7th and 8th grade math. We moved here in 2003, and I began teaching at BJA in 2004.
We have 3 kids: Bethany lives in California with her husband and is a therapist working with autistic children. Seth lives in Lake Waccamaw with his wife and is the field representative for the Anchorage Christian Camp. Alexa graduated with a culinary degree and is the soux chef at a restaurant in downtown Greenville.
I have no grandkids yet. :( Just a grandpuppy!
I love to run, especially 5ks and 10ks. Some of my favorites in the last year were the Zombie Run, Color Run, Santa Run, and Cooper River Bridge Run. I am pretty slow though!
