My TestimonyAlthough I made a profession of faith as a young child, I didn’t understand WHY I needed to be saved—because I was a sinner. I was just trying to please the adults in my life. All through middle school and most of high school, I struggled with doubts about my salvation and a constant fear that Christ would return and I would be left behind. However, my pride was too strong to admit the truth!
Finally, the summer before my senior year in high school, I attended CIT camp at the Wilds. Evangelist Tom Farrell preached on the Great White Throne judgment, and I knew I had to overcome my pride and admit my need for salvation. That night in July 1981, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior. I finally had peace! |
My Ministry at BJAI attended BJA from 7th through 12th grade (1976-82) and then BJU, earning a B.S. in Music Education in 1986 and an M.Ed. in Teaching Music in 1988. I began teaching secondary courses at BJA in August 1989; in the past 26 years, I've taught handbells, English 7 and 9, high school journalism, 7th grade general music, and high school choir.
Currently, I teach middle school handbells, high school handbells, and English 7. I also do the middle school registration and scheduling, help Mrs. Hand with the school newspaper, prepare the school-wide weekly email, and work with the school information system. Although I don't know a lot about technology, I love to experiment with it and learn how to do new things. This is my third year teaching Bible, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity! |
